Released from the Hospital with No Where to Go

Apr 3, 2023

Kim came to Colorado Springs from Craig, CO after having surgery on a hernia. She arrived without a
place to stay and tried a local homeless shelter for a few nights rest.

She was turned away due to her wound and left homeless and in need.

Sarah, the Salvation Army Family Services Case Manager heard about her situation and was able to do a
home visit to verify the details. After realizing how very real the situation that Kim was in, Sarah was
able to provide food, family care items, a grocery gift card and a metro bus pass to help her get to her
medical appointments.

Kim was blown away by the support and is currently recovering and working on getting back to health.
